One of our favorite things to do on the trail is to support other local small businesses. For this month we want to show our support for Pumpkin Valley Family. For the past two weekends they have been hosting the Maine Sunflower Festival! Such a fun time! 🌻🌻🌻
🌻The Maine Sunflower Festival in Dayton is a spectacular event held at Pumpkin Valley Farm. Planted adjacent to the corn maze and pumpkin patch, the acres of sunflowers are a gorgeous setting for family photos, senior pictures, and photography classes. The bright yellow blooms are only around for a couple weeks, if you missed it this year it is usually around Labor Day weekend. In addition to being beautiful, the blooms supply wild bees and honeybees with an abundance of nectar and songbirds will enjoy the protein rich seeds.
